New Optical Products

Over the past few years, many of our patients at Whole Picture Health & Vision have expressed a desire to fill their glasses prescriptions during their visits. We’ve listened to your feedback and are thrilled to announce the launch of a new optical department within our office!

We’ve carefully curated an initial selection of stylish and practical frames from a trusted manufacturer, with plans to expand our offerings in the coming months. In line with our commitment to ethical practices, we’ve chosen not to carry brands associated with the Luxottica conglomerate, focusing instead on sustainable and socially responsible products.

Given that we are a small, busy office, we strive to assist patients interested in our optical services at the time of their exam. However, for a more personalized experience, we recommend calling ahead to schedule a visit with our optical staff during available hours on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Q&A with Your OPTOMETRIST

Q: What is Vision Therapy?

A: Vision therapy is an individualized treatment plan prescribed by a Doctor of Optometry. It is used to treat eye conditions, such as strabismus (eye turn) or amblyopia (“lazy eye”). Through Vision Therapy, a Doctor of Optometry also teaches, improves and/or reinforces important visual skills, such as eye tracking, eye focusing and eye teaming abilities. Without these visual skills, simple tasks like reading or copying notes from the board become difficult. Skipping words or lines while reading, using a finger while reading, blurry near vision, double vision, eyestrain and/or eye fatigue are also common symptoms.
